Eleanor Wilkinson

Eleanor Wilkinson is an Interdisciplinary Senior Research Fellow and co-director of the Gender Research Network at the University of Sheffield, UK. Eleanor is a feminist geographer whose work is concerned with the political life of emotions and affect. She is currently working on a series of projects, including around ‘rainbow infrastructures of care’ during times of crisis and rising anti-gender populism.

Airi-Alina Allaste is Professor of Cultural Diversity at Tallinn University and Adjunct Professor of Sociology and Youth Research at Åbo Akademi University. Her research has explored lifestyles, DIY cultures, civic and political participation, migration and mobility, and the experiences of various minority groups, including LGBTQ+ communities – and the influence of digital communities on these themes.

Anna Bednarczyk is a postdoctoral researcher at Jagiellonian University, with a background in sociology and critical urban studies. Her work explores gendered urban safety and care practices of young women in Argentinian feminist mobilizations. She is interested in Latin American feminist theory, and the re-conceptualization of social reproduction theory and collective care in urban settings.

Christiane Carri
Principal Investigator (Switzerland)
Christiane Carri is a Senior Research Fellow at HES-SO Valais-Wallis, School of Social Work, Switzerland, and co-leads the Competence Center for Body and Affects. Her research focuses on LGBTQ+ issues, including queer kinship, intergenerational relationships, and rural queer life. Her research projects include work on rainbow families and the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals.

Anna Ivanova is a Junior Research Fellow at Baltic Film, Media and Arts School, Tallinn University, and a queer experimental filmmaker. They are pursuing a PhD in Audiovisual Arts and Media Studies on AI-mediated desires, affects, and bodies in digital spaces. Their research intersects visual anthropology, feminist technoscience, digital intimacy, and queer activism.

Malena Gustavson

Malena Gustavson is a Gender studies scholar at Stockholm University. Her research focus is queer ethnography and she is the former co-editor for the journal Somatechnics. She has collaborated in large-scale international excellence collegium, conferences and projects, with grants from the European Commission Funding Programme on homophobia and discrimination of LGBTQ-families in school.

Ad J. Ott is a psychologist and research associate at the HES-SO Valais-Wallis, School of Social Work, Switzerland. In addition, they are pursuing their doctoral research at the University of Bern, focusing on the wellbeing and perceived school climate of LGBTIQ+ students. Their further research interests are centered on the interplay between mental health, heteronormativity, and stigma.

She has previous experience working as an educator for individuals with diverse disabilities and has led school workshops addressing LGBTQIA+ discrimination. She is a research associate at HES-SO Valais-Wallis, School of Social Work, Switzerland. She works on LGBTQIA+ issues, disability and inclusion.

Lena Sotevik

Lena Sotevik has a background in Child and Youth studies and is working as a postdoctoral researcher in Gender studies at Stockholm University. Her research focuses on heteronormativity and queerness in young people’s lives. She has previously studied young queer people’s organization and activism, with emphasis on their collective strategies for resisting and changing limiting norms.

Justyna Struzik is a sociologist affiliated with the Institute of Sociology at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. For years, her research has focused on social mobilization in queer movements, HIV/AIDS policies, and intersectional inequalities. Recently, her scholarly interests have centered on drug policies, criminalization, and access to rights for people who use psychoactive substances.
